FAQs

Do I need to be fully vaccinated to visit the winery?

From September 22, any guest wishing to sit inside the winery for a tasting will need to be fully vaccinated (two doses plus 14 days) and provide their proof of vaccination as well as proof of identity (such as a driver's license or health card). Guests sitting on the patio or just visiting the bottle shop are not required to be fully vaccinated.

Please note that all of our bookings for tables greater than 6 are hosted inside, and therefore all guests must be fully vaccinated. In the event of high winds and/or lightning, we cannot use the patio and therefore all guests must be fully vacciatned. Entry will be refused and deposits will not be refunded for guests who cannot show proof of vaccination.

Can I come in a group larger than 6 and sit at separate tables?

We have group bookings available. Please give us a call at 519-599-6269 or email info@theroostwineco.ca for more information on the group packages we offer.

What if it rains?

Your reservation is guaranteed inside at socially distanced tables. But please note, from September 22 you must be fully vaccinated to sit inside.

What is the cancellation policy?

You can cancel up to 24 hours prior to your reservation for refund of your deposit. Your deposit is not refundable if you cancel within 24 hours of your reservation.

What if we are late?

We will do our best to accommodate late arrivals, but we cannot guarantee you will receive the full time slot or the full tasting that you have booked. Payment will still be required in full.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs on a leash are welcome on the Roost's patio. Food safety regulations do not allow dogs inside the tasting room.

Are children welcome?

Children are very welcome at The Roost. We have soft drinks and cheese plates available for purchase separately. Unfortunately maximum table limits do include children.

Is there a charge for people not drinking?

No. If there are members of your party not drinking (designated drivers, under-19, etc) they will not be charged the per person rate. Soft drinks and cheese plates are available separately. Please bear in mind those not drinking should still be included in your booking so we make sure your table is an appropriate size.
