Blue Mountains Wine Tastings at The Roost Wine Company

The Tasting Room is Closed for the winter, reopening in May 2024.

Reservations are open for 2024.

Reservations are available for our Deluxe Tasting and Group Tastings. We do recommend a reservation if you are visiting on a Saturday and would like to sit inside. Reservations are not required for flights and other a la carte options; we operate on a first come, first served basis subject to staff and seating availability.

For the comfort of all guests, groups over 6 people must reserve a Group Tasting. Groups over 6 people will not be served without a reservation and groups attempting to book across more than one table will not be served. Please note that the property does not permit stretch limos or buses.

Please email us to make the change – you can reply to your reservation confirmation.

What is the cancellation policy?

You can cancel online for a full refund up to 24 hours prior to a Deluxe Tasting, or up to 48 hours prior to a Group Tasting. Refunds will not be made for cancellations with less than the required notice.

Where will I be seated?

Your seating for a Deluxe tasting is guaranteed either on our covered patio or inside the tasting room. Walk-in customers can will be seated based on availability. We will do our best to acommodate your preferences. Private Group Tastings are hosted in our private dining area inside the winery. Outside group tastings are hosted on benches and tents in a separate area of the gardens.

What if my group is larger than 6 people?

For the comfort of all our customers, we only serve groups larger than 6 as part of a group tasting. Private Group Tastings inside the tasting room for 7-10 people can be booked through the reservation system. Outside tastings for up to 12 people are also available, and for groups of 10-14, we have brunch group bookings on Saturday mornings at 10am.

What if it rains?

Our covered patio can be used in all but the most extreme weather conditions. If we have to cancel reservations due to extreme winds or storms, full refunds will be given.

What if we are late?

We will do our best to accommodate late arrivals, but we cannot guarantee you will receive the full time slot or tasting that you have booked due to availability.

Do you have a food menu?

We keep it simple, and serve a cheese and charcuterie plate with a variety of accompaniments. It works great as a light lunch, or a snack plate later in the day. Dairy free, gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options are all available. We also have a chocolate plate featuring artisan chocolates, candies and sweet treats!

What are the transport options to the winery?

There is no public transport to The Roost. The majority of our guests drive and designate a driver, for whom we have soft drinks available. Private taxis and buses are available from Ace Cabs in Collingwood (705) 445 3300. We strongly recommend you book in advance – taxis in the area get booked up and can take a long time to get to the winery without a booking at peak times. Uber may work from Collingwood to the winery, but we are out of area for Uber pick-ups for the return journey.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs on a leash are welcome on the Roost’s patio. Food safety regulations do not allow dogs inside the tasting room.

Are children welcome?

Children are very welcome at The Roost. We have soft drinks and cheese plates available for purchase separately. Please include your children in your reservation so you are seated at an appropriate table.

Is there a charge for people on a reservation not drinking?

If there are members of your party not drinking (designated drivers, under-19, etc) they will not be charged the per person rate. Soft drinks and cheese plates are available separately. Please bear in mind those not drinking should still be included in your booking so we can make sure your table is an appropriate size. If you are part of a Group Tasting, non-drinkers will only be charged for food. Please contact us once you’ve made your reservation for a refund of the wine cost.

Do you hosts events or weddings?

The Roost can host private corporate or group tastings for up to 25 people during the week, please email us to check availability. Small dinners for up to 15 people are also available with one of our catering partners on a very limited basis.

Sorry, The Roost does not host weddings. We suggest contacting Georgian Hills as a great alternative.
