The Roost Winery launches its Small Batch Series

Introducing the Small Batch Series

Small batches of grapes allow a winemaker to tinker, play and get creative. This series is the result of that. All wines are fermented with wild yeast, are unfiltered, hand bottled, and have minimal sulphites. They’re made in such small quantities we hand-write every label.

Gamay Rosé - The winemaker’s pick of the 2020 vintage: super-rare Georgian Bay Gamay, light blush colour, intriguing nose of saffron, green pepper, cut hay, boxwood, subtle plum notes and lots of evidence of intensive lees contact.

Pet Nat - Fresh, floral, naturally sparkling Siegerrebe from The Roost back vineyard. On the nose you’ll find muscat, lemon, grapefruit, orange, and hawthorn flowers.

Orange Wine - A new style this year, a white wine that is partly fermented on its skins and stems for funky, off-beat flavours and an orange hue. Like an interesting dinner guest, this delightfully complex wine is impertinent and charming at the same time.

All three are available to buy online today for Ontario-wide delivery or curbside pick up on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
